Unix Tip #4103- May 6, 2012

TAKE NOTES AT 3AM

Always keep a notebook of what you do as root. That way,
when you can't remember what you did at 3am (small wonder),
all you have to do is trace your steps back.

This can be kept online as well.

NOTE: All tips provided are USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Tips are submitted by various unix admins around the globe. UGU suggest you read and test each tip in a non-volitile environment before placing into production.

LAST 5 TIPS
4102 - HOW MANY COMMANDS HAVE I RUN?
4101 - VULNERABILITIES IN UNIX
4100 - METAVALUES FROM A SHELL SCRIPT
4099 - WHAT TIME IS IT REMOTELY?
4098 - FTP WITHOUT PROMPTS
